Overview

Mini World's End is a striking cliff-edge viewpoint located within Pitawala Pathana in the Knuckles (Dumbara) region near Laggala. The grassland plateau ends in a dramatic vertical drop, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and valleys below.

Visitors must purchase tickets at the office near the car park. From there, a 750-metre walk across flat grassland leads to the viewpoint. The trail is well marked and easy to follow.

Pitawala Pathana itself is a unique highland grass plain spreading over approximately 10 hectares. The area is part of the Knuckles Conservation Forest, a protected biosphere reserve recognized for its biodiversity.

The plains and cliff area can be extremely windy, and the edges are unprotected. Caution is required when approaching the rock edge.

A full visit including walking and photography typically takes 45–60 minutes.
